Cursor 0.48: What's New?

Cursor 0.48 Update was just released. Here's all the updates:

Manual Mode (and Auto Mode)

Edit mode is now "manual mode".

Ask Mode Updates:

  • Has access to all search tools. No @ Codebase anymore

  • Use "Search Codebase" to force it

  • Disable search from Ask in the mode menu

Multiple Chats + Sound Notifications

  • Use ⌘N to open a new chat

  • Orange Dot marks updates

  • Sound: Settings → Features → Chat → Play sound on finish

Custom Modes

  • Compose your own modes like Plan, Review, Yolo

  • Custom Settings (Model, Instructions, Tool Access

  • Enable: Settings → Features → Chat → Custom modes
